The Mission
It is the mission of Righteous Relationships to lead people into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer and the study of God’s Word.
How it all began...
God has such a sense of humor. I grew up the middle child with two brothers. They frequently told me I had a big mouth. I remember my reply to them was, “I guess God has big things He wants me to say.” Little did I know then where the Lord would take me.
I’ve been sharing Jesus with anyone who would listen to me from the day I accepted Him as my Savior. I dragged everyone I could to youth group and church with me. I wanted all of my friends to know Jesus. My parents were youth leaders at our church for 10 years, and I followed in their footsteps. In college, I worked with youth at a local church and volunteered with Young Life. Years later, my husband and I worked with the youth.
After moving to Georgia, our family began attending
a church that hosted small groups in homes. We became
a host home and started building relationships with
those who attended our small group. A few years later,
I became interested in international missions and I
went to Ghana, West Africa on my first mission trip.
Once home, I invited my neighbors over to share my experiences
in Ghana. The following month, I began hosting a weekly
neighborhood Bible study for women.
A dear friend of mine asked me to come and speak to her church circle about my experience in the mission field. Eighteen months later, following my second trip to Africa, I was invited to speak about taking my children into the mission field. I knew God was doing a work in and through me, I just didn’t know where it was going. As He opened doors, I walked through them.
God has taught me so much in a short time. He has provided multiple opportunities for me to speak to a variety of audiences. He has also provided opportunities to publish devotionals on the internet and contribute a chapter to a compilation book called Moments of Grace. I am learning God is bigger than I could ever imagine and His plans for me are beyond anything I can comprehend.
Today, it is my passion to lead others into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer and the study of God’s Word. I want others to recognize that life with Christ isn’t dull or boring. It is fun and exciting and can be the wildest ride you can ever imagine. So, come on, let’s go!
